Each of our services is quite different, ranging from homes where a number of people live together in family style accommodation to dwellings for just one, two or three people.
This means that people have the opportunity to identify the accommodation which best suits their needs. Irrespective of the type of accommodation, our approach is the same whereby we work with the person to develop an individualised or Person Centered Plan which incorporates their life goals, risk management strategies and any behavioural support plans.
Each service is designed to be comfortable and homely. All our homes are spacious detached properties in quiet locations but close to local amenities and virtually every bedroom has en suite facilities. For people with autism or other sensory needs, we tailor the environment to meet their specific needs.
All of our care homes operate on a minimum staffing level of one staff member to two service users (although typically people’s individual care packages are higher than this) along with waking night staff so people benefit from lots of staff input.
The objective of each service is to encourage people to recognise that they have potential and to lead a full life. In this respect, people are encouraged to feel empowered by deciding how the service is run, what are their goals and what they want to achieve each day.
